The Basics

Visit the cemetary to see the grid of thousands of graves that mark the soldiers’ final resting places. After paying your respects, you can walk to the reflecting pool and the chapel, which have maps that detail the events of D-Day.

After visiting the memorial, head to the edge of the bluffs to look out over Omaha Beach to see the narrow strip of sand where the soldiers landed. The nearby visitor center displays items the soldiers carried with them—from ammunition to good luck charms—as well as first-hand accounts recorded by veterans.

Highlight of my trip to France
If you enjoy learning about World War II, then this is the tour for you. This tour was easily the highlight of my trip to France. Our tour guide was funny, and extremely knowledgeable. She had something interesting to say at all times. Lunch was great, and the bus was super comfortable. I would 100% recommend taking this tour.

Normandy D-Day Beaches & American Cemetery Trip from Paris
Our guide was friendly and added good background/historical commentary along our trip. The bus was clean and comfortable. The WiFi on the bus worked great closer to Paris but slowed some in the more rural areas of France, probably to be expected.

Normandy American & British D-Day Beaches Half Day Tour from Bayeux
We had a very good tour in English with Kate. The D-Day became very lively. She brought many photos with her, so that one could get a better idea of all. She knows a lot because she grew up in this area and her family lived there during WW2. Highly recommended!!!

Kate was an incredible guide. We had been planning a trip to Normandie for years and once we could finally travel again we knew we want to take a guided tour of the US landed beaches.

Normandy D-Day Beaches & American Cemetery Trip from Paris
Leila (?) was an excellent tour guide and also was very conscientious about our transportation following the tour. Very personable. Highly recommend her. The communication from your company regarding the pre tour pickup from our hotel (cab from Le Meridien) was non existent. We had to initiate everything to guarantee that we would be there on time. A simple email with the details would have sufficed.

Normandy American D-Day Beaches Full Day Tour from Bayeux
We would give Kate 6 stars if we could. She was simply fantastic and made this such a memorable day for us. My wife was concerned about spending all day on this tour but said it was the best tour she has ever been on. Kate's knowledge of, and passion for, history was exceptional. And she was a joy to spend time with - we saw and learned so much!

Normandy D-Day Beaches & American Cemetery Trip from Paris
This was an awesome tour! Very well organized and was able to see all of the sites I wanted. Definitely worth the money! We opted for the lunch option; if I did this tour again, I would consider bringing my own lunch or purchasing a quick one in the museum cafe to have more time to tour the museum. However, this is probably a personal preference-the lunch was great, and they accommodated my vegetarian diet. Awesome experience overall!
