The Basics

The Boboli Gardens are among Italy’s most famous gardens, and a popular attraction in central Florence as they offer a respite from the crowded city streets. Visitors can stroll along tree-lined paths on a private tour—or, for those traveling with kids, a family-friendly garden tour—to admire the expanses of manicured lawns, Renaissance fountains, classical grottos, nymphaea, temples, and an amphitheater with an Egyptian obelisk at its center. Tickets to the Boboli Gardens include entrance to the Porcelain Museum, inside the garden’s 18th-century Palazzina del Cavaliere, and the neighboring Bardini Gardens. Admission is free on the first Sunday of each month.

Fabulous and informative.
Eleonora was fantastic. Best guide in my whole trip. She was incredibly knowledgeable about art, art history, history in general she made the 3 hours fly by. She focused on the interesting art pieces. Can’t say enough good things. Recommend highly. And her English is excellent. She is also a really nice person.

Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens Private Tour
Alessandro is probably one of the most knowledgeable guides we’ve had (we travel a lot). He could answer any questions - no matter how obscure, not only of history, but art, Florence and travel in Tuscany. His pace was perfect for us, with detailed explanations of all that we were seeing. He integrated all information from Pitti Palace with all other sites around town. He allowed ample time for questions and made sure we could remain in the museum after our visit was done, while giving suggestions of what to explore afterwards. We highly recommend him and the tour!!!

Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens Private Tour
The garden itself is not very beautiful. Although it is a very good spot to get photos with the Duomo and Giotto's bell tower in the background, along with the Baptistry. I would have liked to have spent more time with the paintings inside the palace. Our guide, Elenora, was very knowledgeable with the history.

Palazzo Pitti Private Tour (with Ticket for Boboli Gardens)
What a wonderful tour. Our guide, Leonardo was amazing. Unfortunately we were not able to go into the boboli gardens due to weather but tour company wasted no time in refunding that portion of the ticket. Highly recommend this tour.

Boboli Garden Skip The Line Ticket
I missed my previous reservation because I was feeling blue after traveling from roma to firenze in bad health. So I made another reservation and the agent was more than friendly! The trip to the garden was also fabulous.

Pitti Palace - Private Tour At Galleria Palatina Incl. Tkts To Boboli Gardens
Elizabet was our tour guide for the Pitti Place, and she was fabulous. I have been to the Pitti Palace before, but the insights and background she offered were entertaining, interesting, and informative. She was thoughtful, detailed, and genuinely interested in our experience. She took special care with my companion who had a broken foot, ensuring that we could get to see the Boboli Gardens without climbing steps.

Our guide was fabulous and patient with all of us. We had a six year old with us who she managed beautifully and everyone in the family, 10 of us, were very pleased with her level of knowledge and expertise!

Much to see. Gorgeous art, lovely gardens. The tour requires many steps up and down but it's mostly worth the effort.

Private early morning tour of the Palace and Gardens

Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens Private Tour
For our first trip to Florence, we chose a private, early morning, guided tour of the Baboli Gardens and the Pitti Palace. This was a highlight of our trip! Our guide was so pleasant and knowledgeable! Florence was so crowded, but with the early access, we enjoyed the gardens and the palace with no crowd at all. Definitely worth the money!

Things to Know Before You Go

  • A visit to the Boboli Gardens is perfect for kids who need to let off a bit of steam, but stay on the walking paths as some sections of lawn are off limits.

  • The gardens can be toured only on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and a sun hat.

  • You may bring food and drink into the gardens for an impromptu picnic on one of the many outdoor benches.

  • There are four entrances to the Gardens: Pitti Palace, Annalena (Via Romana 37/A), Porta Romana, and Forte Belvedere.
