Treasure Island Hotel & Casino Tours

Treasure Island used to be famous for greeting guests with its show of swashbuckling pirates. The free performance ended in 2013, but a rowdy, fun attitude (and two life-sized ships) remained. The hotel now has a sleeker appearance, thanks to the multilevel shopping mall and exhibit area that replaced the performance space.
The Basics
Located at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, Treasure Island boasts thousands of slot machines and game tables inside its 95,000-square-foot (8,825 square meters) casino, plus live entertainment such as Mystere by Cirque du Soleil and a variety of musicians and comedians. The hotel also offers nightlife, restaurants, and an outdoor heated pool with chaise lounges, in addition to hotel accommodations.
For a unique view of Treasure Island and other Las Vegas attractions, try an evening helicopter tour, book a tour in a limousine, or see the sights from a pink Cadillac with an Elvis impersonator along for the ride. Many tours include pickup and drop-off at your hotel.
Things to Know Before You Go
- There are no Mystere performances on Thursdays and Fridays.
- Electric scooters are available for rent from the hotel’s bell desk; wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for registered hotel guests.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes to stroll the Strip, because the hotels and casinos are far apart.
How to Get There
Treasure Island is connected to the nearby Mirage Hotel by a tram. Walkway bridges provide easy access to The Palazzo at The Venetian and the Fashion Show Shopping Mall, which is located north of the hotel. Taxis and ride-sharing services are available at the hotel entrance. Plus, there are several shuttle services to and from McCarran International Airport that pick up and drop off at Treasure Island.
When to Get There
Las Vegas is usually the most crowded from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is relatively mild; weekends will attract more visitors as well. As for entertainment, most shows perform year-round, but during the holiday season, such as the week before Christmas, many will go dark, so keep that in mind when booking your trip.
Hoover Dam
If your wallet needs a break from the casinos, head out to Hoover Dam, which is less than an hour away from Las Vegas. This impressive engineering feat continues to provide water to people in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Many full- and half-day tours, which include round-trip transportation from Vegas hotels, are available.
