The tour will head north on US 191 passing the entrance of Arches National Park which was designated as a National Monument before being changed to a National Park in 1971. Our special use permit allows us to enter the back door to Arches via the Willow Springs Road. Along this backcountry route, you'll travel through the new area of the "Utah Raptor State Park". Here where Native Americans lived back in history for thousands of years you'll see dinosaur tracks and enjoy the views of the La Sal Mountains. The Park lies atop an underground salt bed that is responsible for the arches, spires, and sandstone fins. Several of the stops include Eye of the Whale, Balanced Rock, Panorama Point, and the Windows Section. The trip length is approximately 4 hours duration. All vehicles are Jeep Rubicons which are enclosed and air-conditioned.

You'll be paddling through relatively small class II rapids, which is ideal for first-time rafters. Majestic 1,000-foot high cliffs rise above the Colorado and Green Rivers, which border it on either side. Serpentine drainage systems are carved into the terrain below the cliffs. Upheaval Dome can be seen at its northern end, the confluence of the two rivers form the district’s southernmost point. The flight then heads north over Moab and Spanish Valley, and concludes with a fly over Castle Valley to see the spectacular Castleton Tower.

Depart Canyonlands field and fly the Colorado River down the west side of Canyonlands National Park and get a bird’s eye view of the famous Cataract Canyon rapids. After flying the length of Lake Powell we then fly up the east side of Canyonlands National Park before landing back at Canyonlands field.
