Yum!
One of the highlights of our trip! We tried four pastries from different culturally significant patisseries, the best falafel ever, and had wine and snacks at a brassiere. Was a wonderful experience, worth the money.

Le Marais District & Jewish Quarter Guided Walking Tour - Semi-Private 8ppl Max
Our tour guide Belen was wonderful! She gave us a tour filled with a rich history of the area including the history of the architecture and political history. We did not know what to expect but at the end we knew so much more about France. It was very enjoyable. She also gave us some restaurant recommendations which were very helpful.

Toured the Marais with Vanessa, who was knowledgeable, funny and easy to hang out with! It was like visiting the Marais with an old friend. Highly recommend. I learned about secret gems of the neighborhood that I would only learn about from a local.

Le Marais, Paris: The Original District Food & Wine Tasting Tour
A fun evening learning about French food and wine! You will have an opportunity to sample several different foods. You will come away with an increased knowledge of French food. Most of the tour is spent outdoors so recommend dressing warmly in winter!

Paris Sightseeing, Marais and Secrets Bike Tour
Our guide had a very good knowledge about the city and it's history. And the bike tour was very interesting as we crossed lots of streets and it was very busy with people. Obstacle course but fun. Will do it again ☺️

Le Marais, Paris: The Original District Food & Wine Tasting Tour
Nick was absolutely fantastic. A Chef, he was able to include the specifics of each of the experiences. His selection of foods was wide across cultures. He was informative and able to clearly explain the protected areas and how each neighborhood makes sure to include specific shops carrying the food from the protected areas of France. We highly recommend this experience.

This tour was fun and informational (and delicious!). Would definitely recommend as a primer to the Marais neighborhood and as a way to get out of the more touristy areas and feel like you're seeing a more authentic Paris.

Small group or Private Paris tour: Wine, Cheese & Pastries at the Marais
My tour was fantastic! First of all I was the only person who signed up and Urban Adventures still ran the tour - so it became a private tour. The tour guide Mich was so knowledgeable and interesting. He knew the best places for the 3 different pastries we tasted. We also did a wine and cheese tasting that was terrific. I highly recommend!

When to Get There

Le Marais is a lively place any day of the week, but many museums are closed on Mondays. The quietest time for shopping and sightseeing is on weekday mornings (many shops don’t open until 9am or 10am, so don’t arrive too early), but the neighborhood is most atmospheric at night, when the bars and restaurants are filled.
