Little Italy San Diego

Little Italy, San Diego, CA

The Basics

At 48 square blocks, Little Italy San Diego is the largest in the United States and is best seen on foot. The eclectic neighborhood’s charming sidewalk cafés and one-of-a-kind specialty stores are reasons enough to head to this district, with locals and visitors alike strolling the streets to get a feel for the mom-and-pop restaurants, art galleries, and retail shops that make the northwest end of downtown San Diego so famous. On Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm, the Little Italy Mercato Farmers’ Market draws crowds to its stalls offering fresh, California-grown produce, trendy foods, and crafts. Many visitors choose to eat and drink their way through this Old World slice of San Diego—a Little Italy food tour is a great way to explore the area.

Great tour
My husband and I decided to do this tour so we could see the many sites of San Diego. Little did we know that Linda would provide us with fun facts, history behind a lot of the places and she did it all with great enthusiasm. She was friendly, professional and answered many questions that we had. The driver Bradly was great, he chimed in from time to time with great stories as did Linda. I am so glad that we went on the tour and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you!!

San Diego Tour: Hop-on Hop-off Trolley
Great way to see the main sights in San Diego !! Thank you for the great commentary.. We wouldn’t have had a chance to drive to all the sites in one day! I was traveling with my handicapped sister and she’s unable to walk very much .. we saw every place I was going to drive her to, fantastic experience!

Vino! Vino! Little Italy Wine Tour
Our group quickly became fast friends, was truly a great tour! Our guide was great, very lively and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, Vino Carta was disgusting and smelled awful. The glasses were dirty and smelled of dog, the guy serving didn't care if we were there or not, pretty disgusting which is why I only gave 4 stars.

San Diego Shore Excursion: San Diego Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley
The narration was very enlightening and being able to get off at stops that interested us. Have been to San Diego many times but finally got to know the heart of that city through the Trolley tour! Loved Hotel Del Coronado as we haven't been there in over 25 years and it still mesmermizes us as the location is just beautiful!
