Great D-Day Tour

We went in middle of May. Bring a warm jacket because it’s windy and cold in the morning off the beach. You see and learn a lot on this tour. Jordan was an excellent guide. We were a group of 18 and the Mercedes van was plenty big enough for us all. Highlights are Omaha beach, Pointe Hawk, Saint-Marie Englise, Paratrooper museum and the cemetery which was very emotional and humbling. Omaha beach was too. Utah beach was cool too.

Point du Hoc and its craters, Omaha and Utah Beaches, and the American Cemetery. Each helps visualize the immense sacrifices made on that incredible day. Our guide Jordain had the stories, the photos, the maps, and even sometimes artifacts that were perfect for each stop. A very worthwhile tour!

Great experience overall! There are tons of sites to see in Normandy, re: D-Day, WWII, so you can’t see it all in one day. This trip packed a ton in over eight hours and made it very memorable!

Jordan was an excellent guide. He was a wealth of information and his maps and storytelling really brought history to life. He added a lot of detail about each stop and was very open to questions and discussion. I especially liked going to St Mère Église to discuss air support of the battle of Normandy. Highly recommend this tour-the experience was both incredibly moving and informative.

Matt Fantastic

Really loved Matt’s stories, they setup the whole situation - not just from the victors perspective. He really spent the time to review each stop with us and walked through everything with incredible detail. Favorite spots were Utah beach and the church at Saints-Mere-Eglise because it feels like what it would have been like back in the days of the invasion. Matt really has some good “side missions” that most people don’t get to see but give you a fully perspective on the events of those days. The ending the trip at the cemetery was great because we got to see retreat/taps as the flags were lowered for the day.

Thank you for sharing your appreciations with us! Bayeux Shuttle’s Goal is to teach the history of the Battle of Normandy and highlight the brave men and women who dedicated their lives to restore our freedom. The best way to ensure that you go home with a memorable experience is to use the best expert guides in Normandy who are not just ‘doing their job’ but are living their passion. I am happy to read that we have met your expectation. This is what it is all about.

Young kids on trip didn’t show due respect your deserved, day was freezing cold but did trip next day with another company

Hello and thanks for sharing.... Children might not be able to fully comprehend the meanings of sacrifice and of loss which our Normand landscape bore witness to 78 years ago. However, we do know that all the youngsters on Bayeux Shuttle tours unmistakably perceive the universal gratitude for our soldier’s dedication and courage. As a mother of four, I know exposing children at a young age to memorial sites encourages their moral development. Having paid respects at a very young age to our fallen at Belleau Wood, Gettysburg, Arlington Cemetery, and Ground Zero, my children eventually developed a strong sense of service and respect for our service members. “Children will be children”...but they are building their foundation through mimic and experiences. This tour with Bayeux shuttle was fantastic! Our guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the day. He included numerous stories and facts as we visited each site which brought the experience to life; you could tell he was very passionate about the material. The logistics of the tour were seamless, pick up and drop off were very smooth, the communications with the tour company were easy, and the tour van was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you Jordan and Bayeux Shuttle!

What a fantastic tour! Jordon was an excellent guide complete with maps and photos; his knowledge wrapped in stories punctuated with funny little asides all made this day a true highlight of our travels. Easy directions for morning pickup in Bayeux, drop offs as close as possible to various beaches and museums, and a small group all make this tour worth the time and money.

David, Thank you for sharing and taking the time to share your thoughts. The team is coming together nicely after such a long ‘hibernation’ from touring. Your encouragement means so much to us. Thank you Adrienne O’Donoghue Bayeux Shuttle, American Owned and Operated
