Omaha Beach and Band of Brothers Highlights!

Wow! What a great tour. Our family are huge Band of Brothers fans. My 25 year old daughter and I took this tour, with Charles as our guide. First part of the day were the D-Day sights, such as Omaha Beach, Point du Hoc, Longues su Mer, the American Military Cemetery, St. Mere-Eglise, etc., then we started following in Easy Company's footsteps. First, Omaha Beach and area plus the cemetery are humbling and overwhelming, just to imagine and picture what occurred there 75 years ago. And then to be at Brecourt Manor where Easy Company took out the German guns, knowing we stood right where it all happened was incredible. There were eight of us in our group, and Charles was very knowledgeable and spent extra time explaining everything in great detail. When he took us to the statue of Major Dick Winters, my daughter started crying she was so happy. It really brought Band of Brothers to life for us; if you are a fan of the miniseries, I highly, highly recommend this tour. It was simply outstanding!!

Did the tour yesterday with Charles, our guide. It was an amazing experience, full of information presented across multiple splendid sites of Normandy. Plenty of insides for the ones that read the book or saw the miniseries. It is actually amazing to see the places where the events took place. Big thanks to Charles who was a great tour guide during all 9 hours of the trip. Fully recommended!
