Totally Worth It

Wow! My fiancé and I are so glad we booked this tour. Hugo ( hope Im spelling his name correctly) was amazing! He shared so much knowledge, answered all our questions regarding wine, Bordeaux, and St. Emilion. He was very friendly and enthusiastic from beginning to end. The tour was 6 people in total. We rode in a clean, air conditioned van with WiFi to and from St. Emilion. Hugo even had water bottles for us for free! We visited a vineyard that makes biodynamic wine, drove around the town so that we could see the scenery, and Hugo also gave was a nice walking tour of the square. Keep in mind this tour is 4 hours long and st. Emilion is a bit of a drive away. For us, This tour was perfect as it gave us a chance to see the highlights of St. Emilion and also spend the first half of the day doing our own exploring. Definitely recommend this tour with Hugo!

The tour guide was excellent. But if the whole afternoon (4 hours in total) you spend 2 hours driving and less then 2 hours on the tour. It could be considered to spend more time visiting the wineyard

Bonjour Daniela_C, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! It is a pleasure to read that your overall experience was enjoyable Indeed, a half-day tour allows only one winery visit and a walking tour of the village of Saint-Emilion It takes almost 45 minutes to reach the village of Saint-Emilion from Bordeaux. Our guides always try to minimize the journey duration. We can suggest you to try the full-day option next time, it allows you to discover 3 wineries. We are very pleased to know that your guide was excellent! We sincerely look forward to welcoming you back in France soon, Kind regards, Carole from Ophorus team
I liked the atmosphere of the chateau

Our guide was wonderful. I would have liked to have seen more on how the wine is made vs. standing in the facility and having someone explaining it. It was still an enjoyable experience.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would have enjoyed the opportunity to visit a second winery. Overall a great experience.
Really fantastic experience!

Karim was an amazing guide, it was very personalized and we enjoyed every minute of it! The information provided on the way really helped us understand when we got there too. Thank you!
Great day out to the region where some of world's best vines are made

Fascinating story behind the glass of vine (traditions, land, weather, technology) + some history in UNESCO listed town. Karim, our excellent guide to St Emilion as well as to Medoc, gave us a glance at what Bordeaux vine is, and made all these terruars and appelacions understandable.
Great afternoon sampling wines...

Great informative small group tour. It was great to visit St Emilion for an afternoon and one of the vineyards. We loved the winemakers wine, but we thought we would be sampling a number of wines from the region, which we didn't on the day. However, the guide and tour was informative all the same.
Mostly enjoyable short trip to St. Emilion
, Oct 2019
This tour consisted of a visit to the town itself and then to a winery that had 2 different areas. The town visit was just okay, as the walk to the center was very steep, so those of us with knee issues stayed near the top, where we were dropped off. We would have preferred being dropped off and picked up at the town center, near the bottom. The 2 connected wineries were interesting, but they were typical winery tours. At the end of the visit, when we were sampling wine and chocolate, it would have been nice to have a place to sit down for a few minutes. That was not offered to us, though there were stacks of chairs on the outside deck. With a few tweaks, this tour could be greatly improved to meet everyone's needs. The tour guide was very good and friendly, and I'm sorry to have forgotten her name.
Excellent wine tasting experience

I went to the tour with my boyfriend. We wanted to have a nice afternoon in the surrounding of Bordeaux, tasting wine and relaxing, and I'm happy to say that this is what we had.Our guide Karim had a wide knowledge about the wine industry and he explained to us how the wine production works in a professional but funny way. I would definitely reccomend the tour to anyone who loves wine.
Fab do!!

Excellent half day trip. The guide, Karim, was brilliant, engaging with everyone through in a fun, but informative way. Vineyard tour and tasting very good, despite a problem trying to buy wine at the end!! Highly recommended.
