A brilliant way to get to know Boston in an afternoon!
, Nov 2021
The freedom trail app was a great way to give me my bearings in a new city and contextualise the various neighbourhoods. Easier to use, versatile- giving the freedom to explore at my own pace. Highly recommend.

It’s worth it.

You just have to know where to start the tour and get an idea on how it works on your phone before heading out. A bit of frustration at first, but after a while all went smoothly.

the flexibility of this app worked for me I could pick up where ever I went. I did the tour with the reverse option.

Great for last minute plans
, Sep 2021
We had about 12 hours to spend in Boston on a 2 day notice and needed to fill our time. Booking a tour and doing a lot of planning was not an option. This tour was an excellent option to give us a walk around much of the city. We bought two tours, but we ended up splitting one pair of AirPods between the two of us as we walked. Pretty Informative and occupied us for 4 hours. Very good directions, which you don’t really need because of the Freedom trail is an actual paved brick path, and very cool how it played automatically when reaching locations (though this frequently didn’t work correctly because of GPS accuracy). Other improvements: (1) on the “Dig Deeper” section, there were frequently duplicate audio files be entertaining.

We will definitely take your feedback into account when performing our next update to this tour. For more experiences like this one, stop by our site: Thanks again!
Great info and maps!

The map on this tour and app is reason enough to buy it! It really helped keeping me on track and when you come up upon the sites it starts talking automatically. Very good tour!

Thanks for this review! Boston is a beautiful city, but no one can accuse it of being easy to navigate! We’re happy to hear we helped you find your way around all those criss-crossing, old-timey streets. Be sure to visit to see our full selection of tours!
Loved the self guided your!
, Jun 2021
I loved being able to walk the tour at my own pace, to spend as much or as little time as I wanted at each point of interest or make additional pit stops. The audio tour auto plays when you arrive at the location and you have to option to learn more about each site.

Once you try a self-guided tour, it’s hard to go back! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed your tour along Boston’s Freedom Trail. For more tours that move entirely at your own pace, just visit

Sometimes difficult to hear so had to use the pdf version. That worked great. Had a little trouble getting started but probably user error!!

Best last minute plan!
, Mar 2021
Historical, easy to use and follow. We decided to do this last minute and this was great to download in minutes.

Yay, so happy to hear that! Really glad you enjoyed our Freedom Trail tour — and especially that it was able to step in at the last second! We have all sorts of similar tours both in Boston (Harborwalk, Harvard), nearby (Cape Cod, Salem), and beyond (Newport, Acadia, etc). Hopefully, you get the chance to use some of these in the future!
Nice but buggy
, Oct 2020
Nice way to log a lot of steps and move along the trail. However I had quite a few problems with the app crashing. I’d definitely make it easier to use offline. Either the trail so clearly marked, you do t need to use battery killing and buggy GPS

Thank you for the feedback! Sometimes the GPS gets confused amongst the skyscrapers. We love the idea of adding a non-GPS option in a future update! Could you tell us what type of phone model you used?
