We had to wait over 30 minutes from the port and an hour wait to get back. It appears they only use 1 bus. We saw other tour company buses come every 15 minutes. They also gave us coupons to use at local Brugge tours and shops. All the places refused to use stating they were expired over 5 years old! What a joke! I would not recommend Cruise Express!!

The trip to Bruges City went off fine, apart from minor delays to pick up late passengers.
The reurn was a different matter, however. For some reason or other, buses were only available for the return trip from 1:30 pm (although at least one bus was parked in the drop-off area). This resulted in a long queue - far more than a singe bus could carry.
Not surprisingly, the bus arrived at the pick-up point at about 1:29p.m No marshalls on site to call up a second bus (even though this was stuck away amongst others on site) so a huge melee resulted, leaving a good number of folk waiting for the next bus, due in 30 minutes.
Why the 1:30 bus couldn't have been at the pick-up point 15 or so minutes earlier, avoiding a long queue in the sun, beats me!

Absolutely disgusting company, I bought tickets for 4 people including ticking the wheelchair square. Went to pick up tickets with my son who is in a wheelchair, told to walk up road to coach, to be asked can he get out of wheelchair and walk up stairs as they have no wheelchair lift. My son can't wal, why sell tickets to a disabled person knowing there was no lift in coach. So we had no way of getting to Bruges and spoilt our whole day.

The shuttle leaving the port was 20 minutes late. Boarding the shuttle was a nightmare, as the last passengers to arrive were the first boarded on the shuttle. Poor handling of the entire operation.
The return bus was scheduled to pick up every half hour. We arrived at the pickup location at 2:35 (the 2:30 bus had already left), so waited for the 3:00 bus, which didn’t arrive until about 3:20. Made many calls to the office in the meantime, but after 10 rings, the call was disconnected. Over and over. Once the Driver arrived, she said the other bus had broken down and that this would be the last bus back to port. We ended up with 66 passengers in a bus that is supposed to handle a maximum of 50. Kudos, however, to the driver for handling the potential mass uprising with grace; shame on the shuttle company for putting her in such an untenable position.

When we got of the ship we had to ask where to pick up the shuttle as there was no signs telling us where to go and it wasnt with sight. Coach was clean and tidy and staff were pleasent. On our way back the coach opened up both doors which made for chaos. It was very disorganised and ended up with 3 people standing up on they trip back to the ship.

Arrived at 8.20 am to catch first bus the guy let the bus go with only 4 people on when he could see there was another 6 ready to go we had to wait then till9.20 before we started the journey !!
First bus to return was 1.30 very long queue waiting for this so unable to fit everyone in one bus .
We got on realised there were no seats and then the driver closed the doors leaving 4 people standing up and left the other people to wait another 30 minutes for the next one !
Not a great experience allI can say is you save money by not going with the cruise excursion

This shuttle to Bruges from the port was supposed to leave every half hour. We were there at 0915 and the shuttle left at 1010. We missed our booked tour in Bruges. Such a disappointment. We would have been better off grabbing a taxi - especially as there were 4 of us who could have split the cost. Lesson learned.
Missed the excursion and lost our money.

Instructions to find shuttle good. On time departing to Bruges. Arrived at 2:50 for return trip but 3:00 shuttle had already departed as apparently full (another customer saw it leave). No information so just had to wait. Another shuttle arrived at 3:15 and left at 3:30. This was the last shuttle we could catch to reach our ship on time so we were worried we could miss the ship. We had arrived in plenty of time to catch the 3:00 shuttle. No mention was made at check-in that this might happen. An email could have been sent or a message left by the Cruise Express flag.
Shuttle is good, priority should be given to those who pre-book which is what they advertise.

The shuttle itself is fine, I did the exact same one last month, however they advertise that those who pre-book are given priority with a separate queue however this was not the case. I turned up 20 mins before the 11am shuttle and joined the back of a single queue. I was told that I would have to wait until the 11.30 shuttle because the 11am would be full by the time it was my turn in the queue. I asked why priority was not being given to those who had pre-booked and was told they don’t do that. I witnessed them selling lots of tickets to people in the queue in front of me. I also ending up returning on an earlier shuttle than I had intended in case the same thing happened again. I have written to the coach company to let them know that they either need to give priority to pre-booked or remove that from their website. Several people (at least 19) bought tickets on the strength of my recommendation prior to this happening but I would not recommend again unless they do give priority to pre-booked.

Many thanks for your message and so sorry our shuttle service did not meet your expectations on 01/05/2022. As we were closed for two years due COVID-19, we had to restart our shuttle service with a whole new crew which is not that easy - nevertheless they are doing a maginificent job! Thumbs up for them.
This can, unfortunately, easily cause mistakes which was the case on 01/05/2022. We normally always do have two queue's: one for reservations and one for sales on the spot. The main advantage for booking online: you are able to use our shuttle service since often our shuttle service is fully booked. Apart from this, you can use the 'fastlane' to get your ticket fast and board our shuttle.
Unfortunately, at that particular day 01/05/2022, only one queue was lined up so everyone had to queue the same line. Furthermore, our representative took her time to explain everything (all things to do in Bruges) in detail to our customers, which caused a major waiting line. Every passenger received a folder with information about Bruges.
Afterwards we organised a teams meeting to discuss this day and to discuss how we normally offer our services, that we use two queues etc. For example: if we see that the fast lane is quite busy, we stop selling at our office untill we see the fastlane is empty again.
Do accept our apologies for the longer waiting time.
