Frannie, our tour guide, was super! She was very knowledgeable in providing us history facts at every stop. However, some of the food stops, left something to be desired. I was hoping for more traditional, historic restaurants. First stop at Another Broken Egg, had good grits, but this is a chain restaurant. Stop at spice store was a disappointment. And last stop, just being handed a bag with praline in it was a let down. I would have preferred fewer stops with more “traditional “ Charleston foods......

Great guide, NOT a good reflection of the great food that can be found in Charleston

Terrific guide enjoyed the information about Charleston. The food, however, was terribly underwhelming. The first stop, biscuits and handpies was so average. Though I'm a huge fan of the biscuits, umm sure there are places with more character than this place. The shop in the middle, I can't remember the name, had decent food and we felt like we were getting a better sampling of Charleston's specialties. The final place, with BBQ, was not so great. The BBQ was dry and the environment had none of the charm of Charleston. It felt like a college bar.

We expected the guide to introduce herself and she didn't say anything till the first stop. And there was a wheelchair person in our group and the guide did not notice they couldn't keep up until we almost got to the first stop. She should have been more observant of the person. Otherwise she was very good and knowledgeable.

Listening to the guide give us history lessons on the food and areas we walked. Wish the food was a little more local and maybe more smaller bites. First stop was a chain restaurant that didn’t really give me Charleston vibes. The stop for biscuits was mediocre and unorganized. The restaurant seemed annoyed we were there.
