Had an excellent experience, our tour guide (Caico?) had great trivia and jokes! Good variety of wines, oils, vinegars to sample both wineries were beautiful with professional hosts. We really enjoyed the walking tour around Castellina! Overall a great value tour! Only con: the meeting point is not very well described (no address) we had to call for directions and almost missed the bus!

Great wines were tasted!

Overall we were very happy with our wine tasting tour in Chianti region. Our tour guide was brilliant - funny and informative at the right times. The two wineries were nice, great views and wine was tasted.. definitely need the stop at Greve to buy lunch as you don't get enough food just tastings at the wineries. We were lucky enough to have the flower market on at Greve which was beautiful. I would recommend removing Castellina (last village stop) and having more time at wineries and Greve! The wine tastings themselves weren't enough to really enjoy them so we bought another glass at each vineyard! And at lunch! *hic*

Views of Tuscany and visit to Greve were my favourite part. The guide showed good knowledge and humour. Although gratuity was apparently included, it was still mentioned/requested at the end.

Just ok.

Tour guide was useless. All he did was walk us to the village or winery without any commentary at all about villages history, churches, or any commentary about Florence, the wall near pick-up point or anything. Wineries were ok but there was no information about how to drink the wines (like swirling, smelling, drink on back of tongue etc). Wished for less time in Greve & more in Castellina. Told us to go into tunnel but told us nothing about it.

Great afternoon trip to Chianti. Guide Laura was excellent, very informative, interesting and friendly. The 2 wineries were very enjoyable with great hosts and great produce. We tasted wines, olive oil and balsamic. Also visited Greve which is beautiful. Lovely driving through the toscana countryside admiring the fabulous views.

Don’t go

None. The mid evil town tour was a waste of time in the bitter cold and the rain. Another vineyard tasting would have been much appreciated.

We visited 4 amazing places where all hosts were extremely friendly. Marta, our tour leader was kind and attentive. The bus was on time and we got back to Florence as planned.

We had a great time on this 7-hour wine tour. Both wineries are set in beautiful surroundings and offer wonderful wines. It was also nice to make a couple of stops along the way to see more of Chianti.

First time on a wine tour
Dawson_L
, Apr 2022
We enjoyed the tour! Weren’t sure what to expect as we had never been on one. Pleased with the tour. It is very fast paced, you cover a lot of ground in the 7 hours. Both wineries are fantastic. The drive through the Chianti region is also very enjoyable. The free time in the towns (Grève and Castellina) could have been a bit longer. The tour guide was good about giving us some occasional information about the region as we went although more engagement would have been good. Would recommend for wine tour beginners as we enjoyed it, although portions were small and the stops were quick.

Relaxing and beautiful tour

I took the Spanish tour, but we were mixed in with English and French speakers, so all three languages were used to varying degrees, with English being the most "complete" tour. There was plenty of time to relax and enjoy wine while looking at the beautiful countryside.

It was an okay tour! Just felt very rushed at each place and wine servings were very small. But very affordable and do get to see 4 different locations. The tour guide was very nice.

Great experience with good wine and beautiful views of Tuscany. Although our bus broke down this day, we had a pleasant day and a chance to get to know new people during the wait for a replacement. Very good and memorable!

Great wine tasting experience
John_V
, Sep 2021
The hosts at the 2 wineries were great. The tastings were really good as we were at small production wineries. Part of the fun was our bus broke down so they had to send another. I cant think of a better place to have a breakdown. Some of us went in and bought a few bottles and we sat outside at a table and had a party. Met some great people.

Dear John_V, thank you so much for your nice feedback about our Chianti wine tour. We are really glad to hear that you loved your experience, even with a little inconvenience. As we also said to another traveler who was with you on the tour, we love this positive attitude! Unfortunately some inconveniences that are out of our control can happen. We should always try to smile at them and drink a glass of good wine all together as you did ;) Our best regards
