Wouldn't recommend

Overpriced tour, for which a lot of it was outside the building looking at symbols before finally entering inside a good 45mins after the tour start time (which also started late). Felt that the terrace walk was overrated. The walk up the duomo was optional after the tour ended and the wait on the small walkway half way up was quite a while and not explained very well. Tour guide was nice, just felt that this type of tour is very overpriced for what you actually do and not well organised.

Good Access But Tour Lacking

Sparse commentary on the building and dome by our guide Deborah. Nice views from the terrace. Glad the ticket gave us access to other sites connected to the Dumo.

The tour guide was amazing! He took the time and walked us through an historical trail and tied it all up at the top of the Duomo.

Not happy with this your!

This tour was a scam first of all it was very hard to find the location that we were supposed to meet and the tour guide was very brief and did not complete the whole tour and let everybody search on their own.

Waste of time

The tour guide wanted to spend the first 30 minutes of the tour talking about the outside the Duomo. It was a hot summer day and we were not expecting to spend 30 minutes outside the Duomo. We skipped the tour all together.

The tour of the Duomo was worth it! It was breathtaking. Our tour guide was not that great and having a better tour guide would have made more of an impression on us.

Great, especially for Mum who could only manage the steps to the terrace

This was great! Mum & I did this because we were not sure if my 75-year-old Mum could manage all of the steps. She got up to the terraces and enjoyed the amazing views without having to go all the way to the top. Our guide was great & friendly, and waited for us when Mum needed to go a little slower. She also kindly escorted my Mum back down, whilst I continued up to the top of the dome. Having done that, I am glad my Mum did not continue up as it was tough and narrow stairs. Definitely worth it!

The Duomo is the highlight of Florence

This tour was just what we were looking for - a relatively brief introduction to the Duomo, relevant facts and history, and a chance to explore its interior and walk its terraces ... we also had the option to walk to the top of the dome. Otherwise known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, it and Giotto's bell tower were the most impressive and appreciated memories of our visit to Florence.

Magnificent Cathedral! Wonderful Tour!

An amazing tour made that much better with a guide that was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. The small group allowed for a very personal, friendly experience. And while my friend and I (ages 71 and 72) chose not to climb to the top of the dome, we did climb the almost 150 steps to marvel at the incredible views from the terraces. Our guide went above and beyond with concern and patience for all in the group. Couldn’t ask for a better day! Would definitely recommend.

Expensive for a free entry, but worth every cent

Top of the Duomo was amazing. The climb wasn't that bad and seeing between the two domes was fascinating from and engineering perspective. Worth every penny.

The Duomo is a Must Do

Our guide, Deborah, was very nice and knowledgeable. The Duomo, the hidden terraces, and the view from the cupola are all amazing. Visiting the Duomo, the cupola, and the museum are all must do’s when in Florence. One of our favorite experiences for sure!

Worst tour ever

Worst tour ever. So disappointed. We have been in Venice and Florence for a week and enjoyed a tour every day. On this tour, our guide, Daniella, shared little history or information. The tour was to be 2 hours but she left us to climb the dome after 1 hour with no information on how to meet up with those not climbing. I don’t know if she wasn’t interested or doesn’t know how to give a good tour! I learned more about this Cathedral from the walking tour about the Medicis with the Nomad group and from a tour about Michelangelo from FlorencePass. Was so looking forward to this and completely devastated. It was expensive too!

Comprehensive and fun

The guide was energetic, excited, knowledgeable, eager to answer questions, and gave you the perfect balance of guided tour with some free exploration. There is steep stair climbing to get up to the terraces so those with difficulties should avoid.

Worth the time and money

Being able to stop on the terrace and get that view of the dome and the city was worth the price. Our guide was knowledgeable and very nice. The walk up the dome is a bit arduous but absolutely worth it. You can get the same tour without the guide and terrace visit for a lot cheaper, but you will wait in lines. The Pieta in the museum is stunning!

Such great panoramas!!

The view from the top was great. Definitely don’t go up to the top of the dome if you are afraid of heights. Beautiful experience!

Wonderful Dome Tour!

, May 2022
My husband and I loved this tour! Our guide was able to provide a lot of history about the Dome and cathedral, and he kept the information interesting and humorous. It was great to bypass the line and enter directly inside the cathedral without waiting. The climb to the top of the dome was our favorite part—The view is breathtaking and worth all the steps!

Duomo Tour

I enjoyed the Duomo tour; however, the tour guide left the tickets at the meeting spot so the tour felt a bit rushed and she was on her phone trying to coordinate the tickets several times throughout the tour.

Very disappointing and overpriced

Best part of this was skipping the line and access to the cupola. The guide, danielle, was awful. She clearly did not want to be there. She lacked basic information and provided nothing new or of interest. Absolutely nothing significant or detailed about brunelleschi’s architectural method or genius. I suspect that she is office staff replacing a scheduled guide. This was an expensive tour ticket and we expected much more.

We had a fantastic time on this tour - especially walking the balcony behind the locked gate. The Duomo itself is an incredible creation, and seeing it up close was very exciting.

Visited in late August. Love Florence and love Duomo, not the first time visiting, although covid restricted access to few places from the complex but still was amazing experience and customer care was extremely helpful solving all the issues regarding it. 5 star customer service
