Furkan was very very good explained everything so well. Highly recommended. People go alone, but its better with a guide

Not worth it

Our guide was on time, kind and patience (as we were about 5 mins late). However, due to covid this company can’t do tour inside (there were other guides inside). We were given a 5-7 overview of the history. Most of the information can be found on the placard outside. There was no line, at all

It's good to skip the line and the history is quite fascinating. Adam, the guide, is well versed with his knowledge of the place.

First visit

The meeting point was easy to find as it was as described. Met with the guide. He brought us to Basilica and then for 30 minutes explain on the history especially on the medusa and the tears column. There was some part of being renovated but it didn't mar our visit as we still enjoy the place though have to look out for the crowds as the footpaths are not big. Had an enjoyable time which took us about less than 2 hours.

Historically significant, but can be better maintained.

The cistern has a lot of history attached, which is better understood with a guide. The lighting is kept to a bare minimum sometimes, which makes it hard to appreciate the place. This can and should be improved. But it worth a visit while touring the historical area.

I was not allowed in with my online ticket.

I purchased this ticket for 4 pm considering of my flight arrival time. The traffic to that area is bad and I couldn't get to the museum until an hour later than predicted with google maps. When I got to the cistern there was still a line of people to buy tickets, but they didn't let me in with my online ticket because it was almost an hour passed the ticket time. I didn't need a tour. I had only the ticket to see the place by myself and I believe there was no valid point to let me out if the place was still opened for the public.

As of July 2019, unfortunately not to much to see, except the Medusa's heads, the rest still renovating...
