Deep mangrove and canyon Kayak Tour in Krabi

We had the tour all to ourselves, this was great and meant we could take a longer route around. A.K had a really good knowledge of the best ways to travel against/with the tide to reduce fatigue from rowing. Whilst rowing A.K explained the importance the mangroves play in the local Thai community which was interesting and he had some knowledge of the local flora and fauna. You follow a circular route around the mangroves and canyons and there is a rest on a small but pretty beach. No tea or coffee was offered but that was fine. Fruit was offered at the end of the tour. Would have been nice to spend a little more time still and just floating in the water to take in the sublime scenery but the pace was fine. Would highly recommend if you’re planning to come to Krabi. A.K is a good, confident and laid back guide.

Stunning views - limestone cliffs, open sea, even visited a hidden mini beach - but the highlight was the mangrove forest! Very enthusiastic guide and a new kind of (but not too hard) exercise. Everything worked well. Prepare to get wet, though.

Highly recommend this tour if you are in Krabi! Our guide was incredibly informative and super nice throughout the entire tour. He waited for us to take pictures and talked to us about the history of the mangroves. It was a ton of fun and a great way to see the island.

Aek was such an amazing person that brightened up our day! He and Fah were super flexible when we had to rebook the tour due to circumstances. Pickup was great and on time, the kayak experience was very good with very interesting conversations with Aek along the way. He tried to make sure we were entertained all day. We have kayaked a lot and even though this was not the most challenging or intensive kayaking tour, it was certainly the most beautiful. Apparently we got lucky with the Tides so make sure to check the Tides when planning your trip!

This was a great kayaking experience. The views were great, and the guide was amazing. They advertise that they get there early, before the crowd, and they weren't lying. It was just my fiancé and I, so it was like we had a private tour guide. At the end of our trip, a couple large groups had just arrived, so it is definitely worth going early. While some parts were tiring, it was totally worth the experience. I loved getting to see 3 different scenes: the forest, the cliffs/canyons, and the open sea. The guide seemed to know much about the environment. This was my favorite kayaking experience. Also, they picked us up right at our hotel and dropped us off there too.

Our guide Aek met us at the hotel right on time and drove us to the location. His driving was gentle which is important as we were in the back of a songthaew type vehicle. When there he prepared our kayaks and off we went. He was extremely friendly and helpful with telling us about some of the wildlife and flora we may encounter. This trip exceeded my expectations and we will likely take it again when we come back to Krabi.

I did this tour a couple of days ago with a friend and we both thought it was one of the best value for money tours weve ever done! It cost us about 22 each, so we didnt expect a whole lot beforehand. The information for the trip said that they pick people up early to avoid the crowds and give a better experience and since most tours we did in Thailand started around the same time we were picked up at 7:25, we thought this was just an marketing technique, however it actually seemed to make a massive difference. We were picked up in an open backed van, which took us to the Kayaking area, where we were given dry bags for our valuables and tea/coffee before we set off. The whole place was completely deserted when we got there and wondered what we were getting in to, however it turned out we were the only two people to book the early trip, so got the equivalent of a private tour. We were given a two person Kayak and the guides let us practice for a few minutes, however we just headed straight out into the sea. First of all we were show to a sand bank where we got out of the canoes and explored pools on the beach, where they helped us find different types of crab there were literally thousands of them all around us, as well as some small fish and the starfish. We both really enjoyed this and loved looking through the pools, trying to see what we could find. After we had spent some time playing with the crabs we went back out into the water and across to a canyon in between a rock formation in the sea. The river went into the rocks for about a KM through the mangrove trees. Here it was incredibly peaceful, as there was literally nobody else around! The surroundings were incredible and we managed to spot Kingfishers, monkeys, walking fish, blue crabs and Monitor lizards along other things. We actually considered offering to pay extra to stay out for longer, however just headed back when the guides suggested. As we were just leaving the river and getting back onto the ocean, we passed numerous different tour groups probably 40/50 boats in total, which we felt would have given the whole tour a different feel completely had we done it at the same time. On the way back we also passed a small beach where there was a whole family of monkeys feasting on the crabs and also some caves in the rocks, where apparently tribes used to live hundreds of years ago. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this trip and it was one of the best experiences we had in Thailand!

Une des meilleures activités faites en Thaïlande. Le guide est génial, nous avons eu de la chance nous étions que 2 (moi et mon copain). La première compagnie arrivé, nous avons pu être tout seul sans autres touristes. Nous avons vu des nombreux animaux (poissons, étoiles de mer, varan, singes..). Je vous conseille de faire du kayak avec ce guide, vous ne serez pas dessus.
