At the rental shop in South Lake Tahoe, receive a safety briefing and quick lesson before hopping on your stand-up paddleboard. If you’d like recommendations on where to paddle, just ask the staff at the shop.
As you get comfortable on your board, paddle leisurely across the water, heading wherever you’d like (but avoiding the boat lanes!). Look around you to take in the snowcapped mountains that make up Lake Tahoe’s famous alpine scenery, and simply sit down on your board if you need a break—just don’t drop your paddle.
When booking, select the rental duration to suit your schedule and explore the lake however you wish. Go in search of hidden coves or beaches, race your family or friends, check out Timber Cove or the Tahoe Keys, cruise by the casinos on the Nevada side of the lake, or perhaps even paddle as far as Emerald Bay (only if you have a lot of previous SUP experience and book the longest option). At the end of your rental period, return the paddleboard to the shop.
