Salzburg Day Trip from Ljubljana

Our guide picked us up from our hotel. He was wonderful and knowledgeable. It was a long drive there, a little over 3 hours. However, time passed quickly as our guide told us historical information and his accounts of living in the area. Salzburg was just amazing. It was exciting too - to see many of the sights where the movie the Sound of Music was filmed. If we did this trip again, we would consider staying the night. However, if you're unable to spend the night the ride is totally worth it!

This trip was awesome!!! Highly recommended !!! Our tourist guide name was Gregor, very nice, helpful and really give us a lot of information regarding every place in Slovenia and Austria. Even we are only 2, me and my sister, this trip was not cancelled and he really kindly bring us to Salzburg, and explain all the historical information about the places. On top of that since we are only 2 and finish early he recommended to bring us to Lake Bled, which is really fantastic! The view was magnificent. He brought us to a location where we can really see the Lake Bled best view and bought the famous cake.The place is like a fairytale, this becomes the highlight of our 15days Europe trip, this tour is really wonderful. If I go back to Slovenia, I will book again this tour and look for Gregor. Thank you very much Gregor for an unforgettable trip to Austria.

Don't go to Austria for 2 days and 1 night, you won't enjoyed it the driver was always in hurry and did not have time to see all sites such castles, museums and churches

Saltzburg has not much to show except the castle and the beautiful views from it. The scenery on the way to go was very nice and the guide was very knowledge and he gave us also the opportunity to see some other things. However the value for this tour is not the appropriate for what has to offer.

This was a small group tour only 3 of us but we had such a great day. Andrej was a wonderful driver and guide. He tailored the tour to what the group wanted to do, and he made sure we checked all of those items off of our lists even stopping roadside for photos of a castle. The drive through the alps was fantastic. We had plenty of free time in Salzburg to have lunch, visit the castle or museums, etc. Andrej provided lots of great insight and factual knowledge, but was also very flexible in letting all of us do our own thing too. I sincerely recommend this tour! It was great.
