The Best of Melbourne Bike Tour

Our Best of Melbourne Bike Tour was conducted by Freddie of Freddie's Bike Tours. We had an awesome time. The tour included visits to some of Melbourne's most well-known sites and stops along the way to learn about its history. Freddie led us at a leisurely cycling pace that anyone could handle. Our stop for lunch along the route helped us refresh before the final part of our tour. Melbourne is a wonderful place for bicycle riding. I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to see lots of Melbourne and get some fresh air and easy exercise. Our tour was a blast!

Great way to kickstart a few days in Melbourne. Matt the guide was excellent, story about Ned Kelly was very entertaining. Ride is not difficult.

A fantastic tour and Freddy was amazing. I was a bit apprehensive about this tour as the roads in Melbourne are quite busy but most of the tour is off the roads or on cycle lanes. The lunch stop was great with a good choice of food. We saw a lot of the city which we probably wouldn’t have seen just walking round. I would definitely recommend this tour

This truly is the best way to see Melbourne and get a good work out in at the same time. Found where a lot of great restaurants were. Saw the downtown area as well as nice residential areas. Had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant stop during the tour. Matt was simply fantastic. Definitely recommend!

Wow!! If you want a fun way to see Melbourne riding a bike with a great guide like Matt is an easy way to do it. We saw all the history of Melbourne had great lunch and met travellers from other countries.Our guide Matt was excellent. His knowledge and ability at story telling made the experience worthwhile and interesting . Matt also has great sense of humour and we all had a few laughs. Great time!

Great tour to see the city on a leisurely bike ride. Frequent stops so anyone could do it, even if you are not fit. Matt was full of stories and historical information. Lunch stop was good. Very enjoyable trip!

Did the Melbourne bike tour with the shop owner Freddie on August 10, 2017. It actually ended up being a personal tour as no one else was signed up -- I was thankful he did not cancel for insufficient sign ups. Freddie was very knowledgeable about the city and had a genuine interest in relaying interesting tidbits of Melbourne's history. The bike ride was only mildly a couple of uphill stretches strenuous and Freddie makes sure it is safe for his guests. The bicycle has a comfortable seat and four gears which were easy to use. The handles are up so you do not have to bend over too much. The tires are wider so you feel safer/steadier. Freddie stopped, allowed some exploration and would give information which allowed riders to rest as well. There were bathrooms available as needed on this four hour tour lunch was about 30- 45 minutes, self-pay so bring some cash -- do not know if credit cards would have been accepted. Freddie was friendly, informative and appeared to truly like showing off some of the sites of Melbourne. This was a very good, relaxing time and gentle outdoor outing. I give this two thumbs up and think it is very well worth the time and money to do. I wish I would have done this activity my first day in Melbourne to help me reset my daily routine/adjust to the time change.
