Start your day with a pickup from your Miami or Miami Beach hotel, and relax as you travel south to Key West by bus.

The scenic journey follows a route across more than 40 bridges including the Seven Mile Bridge, setting for many a movie scene including True Lies, License to Kill, 2 Fast 2 Furious and more. Hop between islands, and then arrive in Key West where a laid-back, Caribbean vibe awaits.

The time is your own here to do whatever you want. Enjoy roughly six hours of free time and check out attractions such as Hemingway House where Ernest Hemingway lived on the island. Or take a stroll through Mallory Square; it’s right on the waterfront in the historic Old Town of Key West.

If you want to maximize your time on the island, select one of these upgrade options and enjoy your activity when you arrive.

Key West and Conch Train:Ride an open-air conch train around Key West, and learn about the island as you go. Listen to narration about the sights as you meander through Key West’s Old Town.

Key West and Trolley Tour:Enjoy a hop-on hop-off tour by trolley, and see the sights of Key West. It’s a great way to explore and sightsee at your own pace.

Key West and Snorkel Cruise:Jump aboard a catamaran for a 3-hour snorkel expedition to a nearby coral reef. Equipment is provided as are non-alcoholic drinks.

Key West and Glass-Bottom Boat Cruise:Cruise out from land to see one of the world’s largest reefs, home to an abundant array of tropical fish and marine life.

Key West and Parasailing:Gaze down at Key West as you glide above the water from a modern parasail boat. Single and tandem rides are available, but participants must be older than six years of age.

Awful, not serious, dangerous bus trip
lydia_r

Below are all the things that went wrong on this bus trip: 1. Bus was late for morning pickup. We were told to be ready at 5:50, bus showed up at 6:30 2. Guests were not asked to wear face masks and half the passengers had no masks on and the guide was not saying anything. The guide herself was not wearing her mask on. This is unacceptable, this company is not complying with Covid guidelines and does nothing to keep their customers safe. If you’d like to catch covid, book this trip. 3. Seats we were seating on were broken. We literally had the seat in front of us completely bended on our knees. After checking all the seats in the bus I realized half of them were broken so this is a big situation and they shouldn’t sell bus tickets in these conditions 4. No bathroom stops (6-7 hours round trip) do not drink or you’ll have to use the disgusting bathroom in the bus (see point 5). 5. There was a very bad bathroom smell in the bus. Obviously the bathroom were not cleaned for a long time and the driver and the guide didn’t take the necessary actions to make the situation better. Me and my friends had a horrible experience. I advise to rent a car and do your own activities but do not take this bus trip.

Better off renting a car.

3 and a half hour trip took 6 hours. Traffic what terrible and grant you that wasn’t their fault, but our one scheduled stop was bypassed due to people had to be at their scheduled time for snorkeling. So we couldn’t stop to use the bathroom. The bathroom on the bus was disgusting and did not have any toilet paper nor did it even flush. Some seats were broken and so you had to sit in the reclining position for the entire trip or if sat behind a broken seat you basically had someone in your face the entire trip. It cost $150 for 3 people. We rented a car for the way back and it was $110. So it was way better and you can stop when you want to go to the bathroom. Guide wasn’t very interactive and somewhat rude also.

Had to travel for pick-up unnecessarily

I was told we were NOT in a hotel that was a pick-up location. The tour operator called me to say that we had to get to a location abt 7 blocks away. So, we took a LYFT and got to the "pick-up" spot. On the way back, the tour guide called our hotel name and 5 other people got off with us who were picked up in the morning FROM OUR HOTEL. Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing?

The ride down and back from Key West went smooth and would do it again. The bus, operated by Gray Line Miami, arrived at our pickup stop a bit later than we were told but they guaranteed us 6 hours of free time once we arrived in Key West which was great. We stopped for about 30 minutes in Key Largo for breakfast on the way down and did not stop on the return trip. The coach bus was fairly comfortable, but was a tad worn down. 6 hours is a good amount of time but isn't enough time to see and do everything so pick the things you most want to do. To give you an idea, my wife and I decided to forgo the excursions and stayed on foot and were able to walk to the more popular sites including Mallory Square, Duval street, Hemingway house, Key West lighthouse, Fort Zachary, Southernmost Point, Higgs Beach, Martello Tower gardens and the historic seaport to see the tarpon fish by the docks. We spent a short period of time at the beach in Fort Zachary and sat down for a quick lunch on Duval Street. We only walked by Hemingway House and the lighthouse but you can do the tours if desired. Most of the activity is centered around Duval Street and would recommend walking it end to end. If we did it again we'd probably skip Martello Tower and Higgs Beach as they are a little further off the main drag. Fort Zachary was $2.50 for pedestrians but it was worth it even just for the beach which had picnic tables set up in the shade, restrooms and outdoor shower to rinse off the saltwater.
