Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet you professional guide, who will help you get comfortably situated inside of the off-road, 4WD vehicle. Enjoy the 30-mile (48km) drive from Moab to Canyonlands National Park, where you’ll explore the popular Island in the Sky District with its spectacular desert scenery.

Start off atop a mesa with views looking out over the horizon before your guide deftly maneuvers the switchbacks of Shafer Trail. On this section of the 100-mile (161-km) White Rim Road Loop, you’ll make stops at spectacular Gooseneck Overlook and famous Musselman Arch, and photograph vistas of the Colorado River and the view from Thelma and Louise Point.

In addition to the popular lookouts, your expert guide will take you to spots that aren’t as frequently visited, where you’ll find everything from ancient Pueblo rock art to vertical views down the canyons. You’ll learn the history of the Pueblo people who inhabited the Four Corners area, and aside from the culture and history lessons, your guide will also explain the geology of the red rock canyons before you.

When you stop for a break to take photos, venture out on one of the short trails that leave from many of the viewpoints; you’ll get a different perspective and angle for photographing the canyons.

When this Canyonlands tour from Moab is over, your guide will return you to the middle of Moab to the spot where the tour began.

Excellent trip through roads I would not be able to access on my own. John, our driver was very knowledgeable about the area - a great guide and skillful driver. Highly recommend.

Guide was great driver a little quiet but very polite and helpful. One gentle suggestion would be to use deodorant.

Having our great guide, Rich, show us the ghost shrimp and something else in a mud puddle that will evaporate and resume life next time the puddle comes back.

So glad Ben failed at retirement!

This was a fabulous excursion, and Ben made it truly exceptional. The scenery and drive can't be beat, but he gave us so much info about the Moab area/history, the biology and geology of the area, and all sorts of topics in between, that it truly was an exceptional afternoon and well-worth the money.

What a wonderful way to see Canyonlands National Park! We saw petroglyphs, unusual rock formations, a natural bridge and so much more! We rode up roads with many switchbacks on cliff edges and always felt very safe! Our tour guide, Blaine, was very entertaining and quite knowledgeable about the history of this area. We had loads of fun and learned so much! We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the back roads of Canyonlands. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Views were awesome, but the tour company has some issues
Sherry_B

The views were awesome, the driver was very good but NAVITECH clearly has some organizational issues. I made a reservations for 6 well in advanced and called to confirm one month before and one week before - I was told everything was on track. The day before they pushed back our start time and they were late getting going. We finished our tour in the dark which made it challenging to see things.
