This Moab whitewater rafting tour begins in the middle of town, when you meet your professional whitewater guides at the central Moab office. From here, you’ll receive an intro and safety briefing and get loaded up in the van, which will shuttle you out to the Fishers Tower section of the Colorado River. With its soaring spires, vertical canyons and deeply red-hued rocks, this section of river feels like blissfully remote, despite being so close to town.

Before boarding the raft for the splash-filled journey, get fitted with a lifejacket and listen as your guide explains the course of the river. Your guide will propel the raft by oars, so you can sit back and enjoy the scenic, sometimes bumpy, cruise. The rapids on this section are Class II-III and are the largest in early summer snow melts. If you choose to paddle an inflatable kayak instead of riding in the raft, your guide will provide a paddling lesson and make sure you can follow commands.

As you make your way down the Colorado River, keep your eyes peeled for birds and wildlife that can often be seen on the banks, and listen as your guide explains the history and geology of the rocky canyons. At the end of the journey, after splashing down the river or going for a swim, your trip ends with a short ride back to downtown Moab.

Half-Day Rafting Trip:Since there are multiple departures during the day, it’s easy to work your schedule around the 7-mile (11-km) half-day rafting trip. Lunch along the riverside is included with noon departures.

So fun
, Dec 2020
We went to Moab for my wife’s birthday we enjoy the outdoors and water we both have never been river rafting so much fun good starting point would of liked a bit faster however it was July we are definitely going back and doing it again
, Nov 2020
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the location and the rapids were moderate at best.
An Enjoyable Rafting Experience
, Oct 2020
My wife and I had a great time rafting despite the water flow being flow due to low water. However, our raft guide was so very well trained in his skills, informative, and unbelievably funny that we had a blast with other couples that we met from around the US. Lunch was very enjoy before taking to the water (extremely cold H20 by the way). All safety and protocol measures were taken to be sure everyone would have a great and safe time. We would go again but with higher water levels for a more extreme rafting experience.
Small rapids, great service!

There were very small rapids, so didn’t get the excitement I wanted, but our tour guides were fantastic. Very friendly and talkative.

Colorado River White Rafting
, Sep 2020
Our guides were awesome, very informative when it came to the history of the city. Guides showed alot of patience when pulling us in after swimming. Our driver who returned us was such a big help in suggesting activities to do later that evening, which we did and agreed it was an amazing experience. Thank u!
Laid back rafting tour with room for improvement.!
, Aug 2020
Cooper the guide was great! A little slower paced than I prefer but overall a nice laid back excursion. The only issue was that our driver was over 30min late picking us up and The guide had no way of contacting the office so we were left stranded for quite a while an easy solution to this would be to give walkie-talkies to your employees.
Perfect first time raft experience!

We love Travis!

Travis was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable about Moab's history and makes the trip not only fun, but also fascinating. He genuinely loves his job and his passion is contagious. We had a blast! This trip is safe for all ages.
No rapids
, Aug 2020
Our guide, Travis, kept things fun, but there were no class 2 and 3 rapids as advertised. It was basically a 2 hour Raft ride. I understand that there’s not as much water this time of year, but if you advertise class 2 and 3 rapids, and you know there aren’t any, the information should be changed on the advertisement.
