We had explicitly asked for an English tour. We reached the designated tour meeting point at 950 AM (10 mins ahead of time). We spoke to a guide who said he is part of the French group. We waited and waited till 10:15. Called the tour operator. They gave us the number for the same Fench Guide. He said am sorry your guide dint turn up!! What apathy. The tour operator never picked our calls after that.

We paid for an English tour and found that it was not available to us only a French tour. The french guide Basil was excellent and apologized for the error. There was an email sent out the evening before stating the English tour was not available but I did not check my email. So we arrived and got the news from the french guide. We were upset to miss out on a once in a lifetime experience we did do the tour and Basil did a great job of trying to include us.

I had booked a ENGLISH Guide. However the guide I got could speak only French and the Tour Group participants also spoke only French.
Both the guide and I checked the booking. On his confirmation it was French, on mine English.
He tried his very best to explain some things to me in English. Nice of him to try.
