Overview
Get up close to Caribbean reef sharks on this thrilling, half-day shore excursion. After your cruise ship arrives in Nassau, set off to begin your 2-tank dive. Enjoy a ‘free swim’ with sharks on one of Barbados’ beautiful walls, then sink to the ocean floor to watch sharks as they feed. If you’re a certified diver traveling to the Bahamas on a cruise, this shore excursion is perfect for you.
- Nassau shark diving shore excursion
- Swim with Caribbean Reef Sharks and watch as they are being fed
- Covered by Viator's worry-free policy: guaranteed on-time return to your ship
Saved to wishlist!
Start with a pickup from Nassau cruise terminal after your ship docks. Then, travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the dive center, where you’ll receive your included tanks, weights and weightbelt, and rent your wetsuit and other equipment (own expense).
When you’re ready, make your way to the first of the two diving spots, where you can get up close and personal with Caribbean reef sharks. The exact sites visited depend on weather conditions, but you’ll dive at either ‘The Arena’ and the ‘Shark Wall’ or ‘The Runway’ and ‘Shark Wall North.’
Your first dive is a ‘free swim’ on one of the walls. The sharks stay close to you during this dive as you’re close to the feeding site. No bait is exposed, but the proximity to the feeding area keeps the sharks curious, creating a very natural encounter.
Your second dive is a shark-feeding dive. Form a semi-circle with your fellow divers around a bait box on the ocean floor and watch as sharks come up to feed. A professional shark feeder controls the release of food to influence the sharks’ behavior, allowing you to witness first-hand a shark in its natural environment.
Please see the Important Info tab for more information on participant requirements.
Worry-Free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your timely return to Nassau for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. See our terms and conditions for full details.
