Visiting The Intrepid is a MUST - Fascinating!

We went to see the Lockheed A-12 but as I did the tour of the Intrepid I learned its history and how all the parts of its construction worked together. It was fascinating. I loved walking up the narrow stairs and passages and reading about each area. Also the bravery and skill of the sailors and airmen who served on the Intrepid really came to life for me.

Is a great tour to make with kids and adults too. So many information and unique experience visiting a real submarine. I recommend to do this tour for sure.

This museum was mind blowing. You don’t need to know much about history to enjoy being in a sub or a giant fighter ship. There were great displays and the walk through gives you a good idea of what life was like for those sailors.

We had a great time! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food at the cafeteria was AMAZING! I had the turkey bacon wrap, and never had a more delicious one anywhere before.

We loved this "museum". So much to do and experience. We went on a wet day so it was perfect. The only thing we didn't do was to allow enough time to see everything.

Better than expected

I mainly went to this museum to see the nice collection of planes they had. I left having learned a lot about a renowned warship in US history, life at sea, one of the first submarines with nuclear strike capacity and was awed by the first space shuttle orbiter ever built. My only regret is that the day wasn't long enough for me to take the concorde tour. Next time!
