Amazing tour, our guide was so knowledgeable about all things Oxford, we had an incredible tour. With insights about studying at Oxford to have actually met JK Rowling herself Peter was a wealth of knowledge and kept us on our toes with his Harry Potter quiz!

This is a must do tour. It always makes a difference when the person taking the tour is so passionate and has a wealth of knowledge with lots of interesting facts. Peter our your guide ticked all the boxes. He was very friendly and catered the tour for families, couples and singles. The tour was planned for 2 hours and although Covid restrictions has changed the original tour slightly Peter didn’t cut the tour short In actual fact went on for 2.5+ hours. Little touches such as chocolates and cake for all those on the tour as well as having the whole Harry Potter wardrobe in his rucksack which we were all allowed to dress and have memorable photos taken in the Bodlean Library and where the infirmary shots from the Harry Potter movie was filmed. We got to learn about places that Inspector Morse was filmed as well as information from CS Lewis’ The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, Lord of the rings and Alice in Wonderland. All in all a very enjoyable tour and I would suggest it to anyone.

We loved the tour- Alastair made the experience really enjoyable especially given the circumstances. We loved learning not just about Harry Potter but other authors that wrote in oxford. He went above and beyond and we couldn't recommend it more.

Sophie was our guide and she did a fantastic job! My husband and I were the only people in the group so she kindly asked us if we had any interests besides Harry Potter. We did and she tailored the toured to our specific interests. She is very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. We highly recommend this tour!

Very Few Filming Locations
denveratc
, Oct 2019
The tour is more about the inspiration JK Rowlings received from Oxford more than the actual sites of filming. The majority of the tour was about "This is what inspired her", "This is where the crew came to get ideas for building the sets", etc. During the 2 hour tour, we saw 1 filming location. Save the money and do a self guided tour.

Hi. I am sorry that you could apparently not get into the Divinity school film site and that you felt that the tour did not meet your expectations. I understand that it's always disappointing when you can't enter the Divinity school film site but our advertising does make it very clear (mentioned several times over) that we can never guarantee entry into the Divinity school as it is the university's primary events space and so can and does sometimes close without any advance notice. Moreover our tours advertise that we go to two of the three locations but never all three locations. This is partly to keep tours to 2 hours rather than being too long and 3-4 hours long but also because if we promised to take the tour to all three film sites, then we would have to cancel the tour on many dates since there are several dates in the year when either New college film site or Christchurch film site may close. On any dates when the principal sites of either New college or of Christchuch are closed, these are published and we simply remove the specific (either New college or Christchurch) tour from sale. Sincerely, Alasdair
