Enjoy pickup at selected Reykjavik hotels. With your local guide, climb aboard your comfortable, climate-controlled coach—ewuipped with Wi-Fi—and set off through southern Iceland's screen-worthy scenery. As you travel, your guide gives an introduction to Iceland's role in the filming of 'Game of Thrones.'
Your first stop is Thingvellir National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the setting for many of the scenes in the show featuring the White Walkers. Disembark from the bus to check out the gorge of Thingvellir, where the European and American tectonic plates are slowly drifting apart, causing a massive crack in the earth's surface.
Stop for a drink and a snack (own expense), then continue on to one of Iceland's largest geothermal power stations. Set on the shores of Lake Thingvallavatn, this landmark is not a filming location, but its natural beauty makes it a worthwhile stop.
See the waterfall Þórufoss where a local goat was attacked by one of Daenerys‘ dragons. Meet some of the four-legged stars of the series, Icelandic horses who played parts as Westeros garrons, and are now enjoying their fame at a horse farm near Reykjavik. Almannagjá gorge in Thingvellir was used to film scenes depicting the Bloody gate of the Eyrie.
At the Thjorsárdalur valley, re-imagine the scene where a quiet farming village was attacked by Wildlings and the Thenns. Walk around the village on foot before climbing back aboard the bus and returning to Reykjavik.

Itinerary
Hop out of your coach at the gorge of Thingvellir, the stomping ground of the White Walkers and the trail that the savage Wildlings took across the north to the Wall. Marvel at the fissure in the earth's crust where the European and American tectonic plates slowly drift apart, and take in the expansive Icelandic landscape that stretches around you. Walking through the fissure, you can follow in the footsteps of Sansa Stark and Littlefinger on their way to the Eyrie, but instead of ending at the Bloody Gate you will see the magnificent waterfall Öxarárfoss.
Duration: 1 hour 5 minutes

A reconstructed Viking-era farmstead. Step out of the coach onto the site where a peaceful farming village was attacked by Wildlings under Tormund and the cannibalistic Thenns. As you explore the area on foot, be reminded of this bloody massacre. This is where the character Olly was first introduced to the series.
