This tour was incredible! So much history and we had a terrific tour guide. She was very passionate about Italy. Very knowledgeable. It was a very busy Monument. Since we had a guided tour, we were able to avoid a lot of lines. Due to our time table, this was the best way to get the full experience. We highly recommend this Historical site!

Everyone I met using the Viator platform (Viator does not conduct these tours but provides this marketing for numerous vendors) described the experience as a treasure hunt. Meeting locations are not at the venue, hard to find, your guide may or may not be there, AND you can expect additional fees. A representative from a non-affiliated tour group called a guide who eventually showed up, took additional money, then combined us with another group. Notice there is no phone point of contact. Use a reputable travel agency.

Booked a guide for this attraction. Whilst in Rome, it was cancelled. Waited 2 days for a response. Was without a guide and no offer of help was forthcoming. Spoilt my wedding anniversary. Not happy.

Dear Terence, we gave you a choice to do the tour for other dates, obviously you asked for full refund, and we provided for it. What could we do more? Your revenge giving us one star is so unfair... you didn’t experienced our tours, how can you judge? You are not happy because you did not enjoy the tour otherwise you would be very happy. But this is not our fault. This is nobody’s fault: our guide got sick... I promise we will kill her so maybe you will got your bloody revenge and you will be finally happy.

We booked an express tour last minute as many other tours were sold out, and we wanted a shorter tour as we had our 6 year old with us. The tour company advertised the tour as €90 for 2 adults & 1 child. We didn’t find out until we got there that we had to pay additional entrance fees eg. €18 per adult on top of the tour costs. This was definitely NOT clear on their website when we booked. The other tourists on the tour had the same issue so I know it wasn’t just me. The tour guide Olga was lovely and v knowledgeable about the colosseum & history. Pity about the tour operator.
