We loved this truffle hunt experience! We’ve been truffle hunting a couple of times before in Italy, but this was even better. It was a very private experience with just us, 4 dogs and our truffle hunter, Mihael. He made explained the process very well and answered the many, many questions we had. We found quite a few white truffles and then settled into a charming and delicious four course lunch served by a warm and welcoming hostess.

We loved everything about this experience! The truffle hunting was fun to watch and a great way to get out into nature. (Wear long pants and long sleeves! You are off path and into the forest). The dogs were cute, and it was great to see firsthand how truffles are found. The lunch back at the family's house was delicious. Beautiful view from their terrace. Then you are already in Motovun - a really unique and cute medieval town high up on a hill. Great to explore after the experience.
