    The essence of great wines

My son and I, had an amazing experience; especially interfacing with new friends, and tasting amazing wines. The presenter(s) were well versed in the wine making progress, which made it a wonderful educational experience.

Good but lacks a key experience

I will start by recognizing that the transportation, trip view and wineries visited were very good. Each winery host was good as well. My main complaint and/or disappointment is that you are visiting these places to learn, not just get a 5min speech and then it all becoming about drinking/tasting the wines considering the amount paid is not cheap. And of course, wineries expecting you buy something. I think you can combine the wine tasting experience with, for example, a video that shows the wine making process that for me is key to see and complete the full tour experience. Another suggestion could be to be able to see, if feasible, a live (or replicated) part of the process wine making process in front of visitors. From both, the video is probably the most feasible and I think it's not a big request to make to these wineries, since doing these things will definitely step up the experience.

Everything was on time from when we pulled out of union sq to arrival at each winery. Our driver Greg was the best! He was full of fun facts, info and recommendations for San fran as we were driving through. He kept us entertained and informed the whole time. Each winery was different and we enjoyed them all. Sonoma is a beautiful little town for lunch. The whole day was well worth the time and money. Thanks again Greg !

The tour is an all day affair so be prepared to return later in the day. You'll visit 3 excellent wineries and sample 3-4 wines at each stop. You get 2 hours for lunch in Sonoma with a variety of different food choices. The tour guide driving the bus was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was ok. But for us were disappointed because we like the sweet wines and in this tour we can only find one. I think you have to be sure the include more types of wines no only dryers. The second think the bus in our way back park in a different street that the one we were in the morning, it was a little confusing for all of the persons. We think it will be a good idea that you advise this when you send the introduction that where we will be departing.

Reliable option if visiting SF but wanting to see CA wineries too

We took a tour with Gray Line from San Francisco to Napa/Sonoma and back to SF. Included in the itinerary was pickup near Union Station, a quick pitstop at a scenic viewpoint of the Golden Gate Bridge, and tastings at three boutique wineries, with a stop in Sonoma Plaza for lunch in between. The wineries we visited weren't the most stellar or well-known in Napa/Sonoma, but it was nice to support smaller businesses and to not have to organize transportation and tastings separately. We loved our guide, Thomas, who made it a point to get to know his guests and to relay as much information to us as possible about the history and geography of San Francisco. He also was kind enough to return a lost item to our party after the tour ended and he'd already departed, which was a very generous thing to do, especially after such a long day. I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5.

What a trip, which was made extra especial by our driver Greig, who was so knowledgeable about San Francisco, Sonoma, and Napa. His voice was a delight to listen too. We set off heading over the golden gate bridge towards Sonoma County, which was an experience in itself. Then the wine tasting was great at 3 wineries with time for lunch. Highly recommended experience.

Our driver and guide, Greg was excellent - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Good tours by the tour guides. The wines were fairly nice but pricey if you plan to buy any, especially at BR Cohn. The stop for lunch in Sonoma was very nice. We had a lovely Italian lunch at Della Santina’s. We really enjoyed meeting others from all over the globe. Would highly recommend this trip.

Truly spectacular experience, for two cousins living it up in California. Grateful! Request Antonio as your driver/guide

This Napa and Sonoma Wine Country Full-Day Tour from San Francisco was truly sensational. My cousin Joe and I had the most wonderful time. My quote from the day was "I could die happy today". And my cousin Joe's was "Just beautiful". The day trip was run so perfectly. The amazing Antonio was our bus driver and tour guide for the day. He was extremely knowledgeable, very kind, funny, and the ultimate host. We stopped at two wineries and a cellar door. The first winery Muscardini was gorgeous, the wines were amazing, and a very generous wine tasting in a beautiful garden that immediately brought us joy, excitement, sunshine and fresh-air. The second B.R. Cohn Winery was my absolute favourite of the day (actually the most beautiful winery I've ever been to, and I experience wine day trips at least six times a year here in Australia, and we have some of the best). The wine was once again amazing and again a very generous tasting. It was fun and again an outdoor, sunny, joyful experience. The B.R. Cohn estate views were truly spectacular, just stunning! The final stop was a cellar door Madonna Estate Winery this was very educational experience, we were given a 30 min education on wine on arrival and I did learn two or three new things. We also had the opportunity to taste the wines and shop for souvenirs. Antonio stopped us at the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to the country. We weren't rushed, really enjoyable/take-it-in experience. Antonio also stopped us for lunch in Sonoma Square, he gave us all the top recommendations, and we were given 1.5 hours free time to eat, explore and shop. Upon returning back to San Francisco, Antonio asked if we'd like another view of the GGB from the opposite side we stopped this morning and we got some great pictures. Even got a view of Mrs Doubtfire's home for a happy snap. 10/10 experience and affordable. Money well spent. Highly recommend this company. Well done and THANK YOU to the team and Antonio.
