One of the most-visited parks in the United States, Yosemite National Park is famed for its wild beauty and massive natural attractions. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel (selected hotels only), cruise across the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and through historic Gold Rush towns as the urban bustle gives way to the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada.

When you arrive at the park, stretch your legs at Tuolumne Grove with a hike among some of the oldest and largest trees in the world (weather permitting). Crane your neck to see the top of the giant sequoia trees, including a tunneled-out tree large enough to drive a car through.

Continue on to Tunnel View for an unbeatable view of Yosemite’s photogenic valley framed by the giant granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan. Look for expert rock climbers trying to scale the world-class cliffs and, in springtime, watch the thundering cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Enjoy some free time to explore the park on your own. Rent a bike and cruise along the flat paths of Yosemite Valley (not included), hike to a nearby waterfall or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to see some of the most famous images of the park ever captured on film. Lunch options include a picnic on the Merced River or a casual meal at the Yosemite Lodge (own expense). Reconnect with your guide at the appointed time, and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails, and other activities may be substituted.

Great park. The guide , well, you gotta be lucky.

Yosemite is awesome. One day covers all the major sites. The guide had a strong accent. I didn’t understand a lot of what he said (supplemented his explanations by reading Wikipedia). The group was very polite and showed up on time. There are 3 stops to buy breakfast and dinner (in supermarket in oakdale. ) And buy a lunch at the park unless you pack a lunch in oakdale or at home. Use the 2 “lunch hours” wisely. Do not take the green bus around the park. It’s 1.5 hours. Walk around. Ask information to get the most out of your free time. The bus had 2 problems 1. The video tv was not functioning so we heard a video but didn’t see it. 2. The brakes smelled!!. I was anxious on the return trip, downhill for 5 miles of twists and turns.

Ross was a great tour guide. He knew the local history of San Francisco and Oakland. He told us about the history of Yosemite. He was attuned to everyone. Took time to get to know the customers. He is humorous and dedicated to the customers and park. Our bus driver was wonderful- he was great on those curvy roads.

Good value for not driving yourself all around the busy Yosemite NP!

Yes, it's a long drive but letting somewhere else drive you along the windy road in and out of Yosemite is fantastic! Gino was a very good driver - I felt wee were in good hands and we saw a lot! However, I would suggest you research what to do during the two-hour stop at Yosemite Valley. I was not at all prepared and did not maximize that stop at all. Our tour started uncomfortably as some guests went to the wrong hotel and so we were delayed leaving the city. I think the company should have a hard departure time especially if guests don't show up on time. Instead, a few people were basically shamed as they came onto the bus. Either leave people behind, or accept a late start and move on. Thankfully the tour was well worth the money and most guests were great.
