The Samurai Experience
, Feb 2020
You never understand how little you know until you are able to speak with someone who has a life time of experience. Reading histories and technical style books like (The Book Of Five Rings) are in no way any form a substitute for actually performing the act of Tameshigiri. The operators English was good. His explanations were clear and speaking to him, I was actually able to improve my admittedly horrible Japanese just a bit. If you are interested in Japanese martial arts or Samurai history this class will give you just the smallest glimpse at what real combat swordsmanship looks like.
