Traditional Home Cooking Experience in Venice

Good company and good food. Really good experience with our host chef who adapted to tailor the experience for us. Highly recommended to others

My husband and I took this cooking class on our honeymoon. There were a couple other couples in the class. The chef and instructor did an amazing job of making things fun, teaching us, and helping us make amazing food. The entire evening was perfect. I would highly recommend!

We met Lorenzo by a water bus stop and he was friendly. There were 10 of us cramped into a tiny space. It’s not what I was expecting, I thought we’d each be making our own meal but it was 1 meal and we had to take turns cooking. It started at 6 but we didn’t get to eat until closer to 10. Way too overpriced for what we got. The wine was good!

We had a wonderful afternoon cooking with Lorenzo! He was very prepared. The meal was wonderful, so was the wine and he gave everyone opportunity to help with the steps.My only criticism would be a need to have a sign for us to find him.

Great experience. Lorenzo knew what he was talking about, and he was so kind. Some of us made the hand cut pasta quite large. When I asked him what the pasta we were making was called, he explained that pasta derives it name from the size and shape. He picked up some of our pieces of pasta, which varied in with by over 1cm. Lorenzo said, "This is called, Pasta Your Way." Loved it!!

We (4 adults and two kids 12 & 14) had the best night in Venice at this cooking experience. The night was fun and the kids LOVED it. We made Tiramisu and homemade lasagna which was all delicious. The lids really enjoyed rolling out the pasta and the adults learned things we have wanted to understand for years!! All the wine was ingredients were fresh and wine was from a local winery. The host was was EXCELLENT!!! He was great with the kids, friendly answered a bunch of questions and spent the night laughing with all of us. Everything was easy from the meeting time and location to the experience and host.... AAA+++++ We do wish there was better AC in the apartment and maybe an option of red or white (only had white)..... the wine was a minor detail and was a great night regardless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you are looking something to do that isn't museums and cathedrals that kids will engage in this is a great option. It appears pricey but if you factor in the total entertainment time and the quality of the meal it is a good value. If we could choose a meal we were signing up for we would book again (so we know in advance that the meal would be different.) I hope we can go back to him again!

This was most definately the best of the best cooking experiences I have had in Venice. Lorenzo was very attentive to all and made sure everyone participated in the preparation. The meat sauce was the best I have ever had and I am so glad we have the receipes. I recommend that anyone who has the time and likes to cook and eat take this class. What a way to spend an evening in Venice.

We attended Lorenzo's lunch cooking class. It started with a tour of the famous Rialto market place. Lorenzo was a gracious host, tour guide and a wonderful instructor. After the group decided on a menu, we walked back to Lorenzos apartment, and began to prepare lunch. Lorenzo was fun, knowledgable, engaging and made everyone feel at ease. A very memorable experience, would highly recommend.

We had the most fantastic time with Lorenzo who helped us and another couple to create a wonderful 3 course meal. We cooked, drank, ate and laughed all night. All I can say is that the two people that didn’t show up missed out massively!! Thank you Lorenzo- an absolute star.

Relaxed and fun evening learning how to make so delicious meals. All the technique were straight forward and our instructors were laid back and patient with us throughout. Highly recommended!
