Beautiful grounds and views, great restaurant (try the nut soup!). Great narrative by bus driver and guides. Awesome gift shops too. The feeling of actually walking through the rooms where Washington lived was splendid. The grounds can be challenging for persons with walking issues but gorgeous in the Fall.

Dear DC Trails, I am writing you with a complaint of the Mt. Vernon tour taken on Sunday, 17 November at 10:00 from the Spy Museum. First, we are quite surprised that your driver/tour guide was very loud and when I asked on several occasions to turn down the mic, he was upset and said so! It seems to us the commentary was quite tiring and non-stop almost “ranting” for over 1 and ½ hours. By the time we finally arrived to Mt. Vernon, we had a severe headache and just did not feel well. I would was extremely disappointed with this tour, we did not return with the tour driver and chose to return on our own, at our own cost. I would like to be reimbursed for an extremely terrible experience totally unprofessional and very rude tour driver/guide. Regards, Gabi Cruise
