Start your day trip from the bus terminal in central Zurich and depart by coach for the scenic journey south. Travel among the towering peaks of Switzerland's Bernese Oberland to Lauterbrunnen, where a cogwheel train carries you up to Europe’s highest-altitude train station, situated in a UNESCO-listed Alpine wilderness.

The 100-minute train ride winds through the Kleine Scheidegg mountain pass in the Bernese Oberland. Upon arrival at Jungfraujoch, situated at an elevation of 11,333 feet, disembark at the Top of Europe and head to the Alpine Sensation—a round-tour subway opened to mark the centenary of the Jungfrau Railway. 

Head to the Ice Palace for a glacier walk and stop at the Sphinx Observatory for sweeping views of Europe's longest glacier: Aletsch Glacier. From viewing platforms, enjoy a 360-degree panorama of this winter wonderland draped in a breathtaking display of ice and snow. On a clear day, look beyond to the mountain peaks of neighboring Italy and France. 

If you wish, purchase a snack or warm drink at the on-site restaurant (own expense) before the cogwheel train ride to ‘Eigergletscher’, where you will change to the V-Cableway Eiger Express. After approx. 15 minutes you will reach Grindelwald Terminal, where your coach awaits. Relax on the drive back to Zurich, arriving at the bus terminal in the evening.

Everything was on point! From the itinerary, to the punctuality, to the guides enthusiasm and ofcourse, the views and places we were taken to. Raymond, our guide was just amazing. The entire trip to Jungfraujoch was a once in a lifetime experience. The views from the top were incredible and left me in awe. Highly highly recommend this trip if you’re visiting Switzerland! It’s a must! And shout out to Barbara and Armando our tour guide and driver. They were super friendly and warm welcoming. Barbara is super knowledgeable and is a great spirit! Armando drives like a pro! Big thumbs up to them !!

What an amazing trip. Barbara was an incredible tour guide, offering to take the best pictures of us, telling very unique and interesting facts wherever we went, etc. I HIGHLY recommend this trip for solo travelers who want to see a ton of beautiful sites within a short period of time. She even made an exception for us and let us stop for a few minutes to take pictures by a beautiful lake when we asked. Amazing and so worth the money
